Buan Bamboo Salt

“Fruit of waiting”

Bamboo salt is made by roasting salt at a high temperature several times to eliminate harmful substances. The fine grain Gomso Sea Salt is filled into a bamboo stem sealed with red clay—the bamboo should be over three years old—and is baked eight times in a kiln with pine firewood. The ninth process must maintain a higher temperature by adding resin powders to the fire. Red salt flowing down like lava is cooled as a clump of grey salt. The ground grey salt is Buan Bamboo Salt, which is the gift of patience.
