Byeonsan Beach
Byeonsan Beach is one of the most well-known beaches in the west coast. It is also known by the sobriquet “Baeksacheongsong,” for its white sands (baeksa) and the green pine forests (cheongsong).
Mohang Beach
Mohang Beach is a relatively small and quiet beach located in southern Byeonsan Peninsula, on a small protrusion toward the sea.
Although it is smaller than other beaches in Byeonsan Peninsula, its small size and quiet nature draws many visitors that prefer a slower pace in vacation.
Gyeokpo Beach
Gyeokpo Beach is located next to the Chaeseokgang Cliff. Because of that, it is sometimes called the “beach at Chaeseokgang” as well. It tends to draw visitors not because of its own fame, but because it is located next to the hugely popular Chaeseokgang Cliff: thanks to its location, it is often the perfect next step for the visitors who make their way from Chaeseokgang Cliff's views to a more hands-on exploration of the surrounding areas.
Gosapo Beach
The longest stretch of sandy beach in Byeonsanbando National Park can be found in Gosapo Beach. This 2 km-long sand beach is renowned for its soft sands, clean waters, and optimal temperature, making it a favorite destination for many families in Korea.
Wido Beach
Wido Beach is located behind Beolgeum Quay. Situated in a deep bay, Wido Beach is the most famous beach of Wido Island, full of soft sand and clear water. The sand beach extends for over a kilometer. Thanks to shallow waters, Wido Beach is especially suitable for families with young children. Nearby sites like Gipeungeum, Miyeonggeum, and Nongeum offer quiet respite in nature's bosom. It also offers a particularly spectacular view of the sunset, when the silhouette of Wangdeungdo Island on the horizon clashes with the burning sunset.
